Brügg has its own station on the Lyss-Biel line. The train gets you to Biel fast, and from the station GYAN is only a few minutes' walk.
Brügg: the station is right there
Brügg borders Biel to the east and sits on the Nidau-Büren canal, built during the Jura water correction to carry the Aare out of Lake Biel. When it comes to getting into town, Brügg has a real advantage: its own station on the line between Lyss and Biel. That can put you at Biel station faster than some people who actually live in the city.
From Biel station it's just a few minutes on foot to GYAN at Zentralstrasse 22. By car you cover the roughly five kilometres into the centre and use one of the public car parks; allow about a quarter of an hour. On a bike, the ride is flat and direct.
After work on Thursday and Friday
Lots of people in Brügg spend the day elsewhere, in Biel, in Bern or somewhere else along the line. So the evening is often the best time for a haircut. On Thursday and Friday we're in the salon until 8pm, Monday to Wednesday until 7pm. Get off the train in Biel, walk a few minutes, get your cut and catch the train back to Brügg. On Saturday we open at 8:30am if mornings suit you better.
When the beard comes first
A well-kept beard needs regular attention, often more than your hair does. With a beard trim we shape the length with clippers and scissors and set the cheek and neck lines with the razor. It takes about 15 minutes and works well between two haircuts. Prefer it smooth? Book the hot towel shave: hot towel, warm lather, a steady blade, then a cool towel and balm.
Hair and beard together come as the GYAN Classic package. If you want a wash and styling on top, pick the GYAN Premium package.
Planned or spur of the moment
For a fixed time, book online and the confirmation lands straight away. Handy when you already know which train you're taking home. Dropping in works too, since walk-ins are welcome during opening hours. Inside you'll find brown leather chairs and a red Persian carpet on the wall, and you can pay in cash, by card or with TWINT.
